Casa de Campo. Unseen

When I moved to Madrid in 2018 with my family, Casa de Campo quickly became more than just a park to me. Between caring for my daughter and adjusting to a big city, I would slip away to the park and let myself get lost in its paths and corners, camera in hand. With long-term photographic series, I explore how photography and the use of alternative processes can reshape our perception of a place we think we already know.

The nature I photograph is not remote or untouched, but urban, communal, and imperfect. Yet I find in it an inherent beauty we can delve into, even if only briefly. I like to think of my photographs as gentle reminders to myself and to others to slow down and pay attention.

While these lith prints reflect my own process of finding belonging in a new place, they also act as windows into overlooked scenes, offering an invitation to pause, notice, and rediscover our surroundings.
