About
My name is Iván Bernal Pallí, and I’m a photographer based in Madrid, Spain. I began studying film photography in 2003 in my hometown near Barcelona, and since 2010, I’ve focused primarily on the lith printing process, while continuing to experiment with other alternative techniques.
I have always been fascinated by trees, their forms, textures, longevity, and their quiet presence. They awaken in us a connection with our past that, unfortunately, we have forgotten. My work also explores how the photographic process can transform familiar environments into alternative realities, as I photograph trees and woodland spaces within the boundaries of the city.
For me, photography is both an artistic practice and a form of escape, an opportunity to reconnect with nature, even in urban parks where the city is never far away. Through my images, I invite viewers to pause and look more closely at the world around them. I hope to evoke a sense of belonging, wonder, and a renewed connection with the natural world.
