Les Oliviers du Mont d’Or

Mont d’Or is the local hill overlooking the small town of Manosque, in Provence, where I lived with my family for a year between 2024 and 2025. The hilltop is covered with olive trees surrounding the remains of two walls from the tower of an old castle, creating a prominent and easily recognisable landmark visible as you approach the town. Olive trees have always fascinated me. Their silvery-green foliage and twisted, weathered trunks possess a unique beauty. They also evoke a deep connection with the past, silent witnesses to the generations that have come and gone.
